The Comal ISD Council of PTAs is looking for community sponsors and vendors for its Back the Future Kids & Family Expo scheduled for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5, at Pieper Ranch Middle School, 1106 Kinder Parkway in San Antonio.
Area businesses and organizations, which focus on family education, health services and activities, are asked to be a part of the event. From dental offices and after-school learning centers to youth sports leagues and after-school care, the Expo will be a great opportunity to partner with the Comal Independent School District and provide parents and kids with options to support various interests.
"The goal of the Expo is to provide parents and families with community resources, after-school opportunities, health screenings, product demonstrations, food, shopping, games and more, all in one place,” said Chelsea Ormond, the event’s chair.
This is the Comal ISD Council of PTAs’ second year to host a district-wide family engagement event, which is free and open to residents in the district’s surrounding communities including Bulverde, Spring Branch, Garden Ridge, Canyon Lake and New Braunfels.
“It’s also a great way to discover how PTAs at every Comal ISD campus backs the future by advocating for every student in the district,” Ormond said. “Back the future” is the Texas PTA slogan, demonstrating its mission to make every child’s potential a reality.
The deadline for Expo sponsorships with benefits which include a company logo or name on the event’s banner and t-shirt and social media promotion, is Friday, Sept. 13; the deadline for vendor booths is Friday, Sept. 27.
